Overview of BRS (quick couplings ISO-A) TM Hydrosila
The most common QRCs (quick-release couplings) are manufactured in accordance with the international standard ISO 7241-A, which guarantees the interchangeability of half-couplings regardless of their manufacturer - Faster, Parker, Stucchi, Voswinkel, etc. They are produced with ball locking and a conical valve. They are used in the operating temperature range from -25 to +100°C on trailed and mounted agricultural machinery, municipal equipment, etc. QRCs are manufactured with various types of fittings and threads (internal or external, metric or inch).
Hydrosila company manufactures two series according to this standard: the QS and QR series. The QS series QRC is designed for quick connection of hydraulic lines. These QRCs are called "one-way" because the connection and disconnection of the half-couplings occur only by pulling the locking sleeve in one direction. Due to its basic functions, this QRC series has a relatively low price and wide application in operation.
The QR series QRC is similar in application to the QS series, but it has a significant advantage - it features a breakaway function, a "two-way" locking sleeve, and can be attached to the tractor chassis. The "breakaway function" is triggered during an emergency disconnection of hydraulic lines, preventing the loss of working fluid. With an axial load exceeding 7.4 kgf, forced disconnection of the half-couplings occurs. This is why these QRCs are called breakaway couplings. Disconnection of half-couplings under pressure is allowed.
The QR series also has the advantage of being able to be attached to the tractor chassis.
